Muddora pieces are crafted in solid wood and natural materials. Wood responds to its environment over time. Subtle movement, tonal variation, and grain differences are inherent characteristics of the material and part of what makes each piece individual.
For regular care, wipe surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, use a slightly damp cloth and dry the surface immediately after. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or alcohol-based solutions, as they may affect the finish.
Moisture should not be allowed to sit on wooden surfaces. Spills must be wiped promptly. Wet items should not be placed directly on the surface, and protective mats or coasters are recommended under glasses, planters, and hot cookware. Prolonged exposure to water can affect both finish and structure.
Heat can impact solid wood. Hot utensils or cookware should not be placed directly on the surface without protection. Furniture should also be positioned away from direct heat sources such as heaters or radiators.
Direct sunlight over long periods may gradually alter the tone of the wood. Placement in well-ventilated indoor spaces with controlled exposure to sunlight helps maintain consistency in appearance.
Wood also responds to seasonal humidity changes. In drier environments, slight shrinkage may occur. In more humid conditions, mild expansion is natural. Maintaining moderate indoor humidity levels supports material stability.
When moving furniture, it should be lifted rather than dragged to prevent stress on joints and legs. Surfaces should not be overloaded beyond their intended use.
Periodic professional polishing may help maintain the finish over time. Oils, waxes, or additional coatings should not be applied without proper guidance.

Natural grain variation, tonal shifts, and minor surface differences are not defects. They are inherent characteristics of solid wood and handcrafted processes.
